1. Our services

Heat Lab offers guided sauna sessions, cold exposure experiences where available, private events, workshops, and related wellness services.

Our sessions may include guided heat rounds, cool down periods, cold plunge or cold water access, aromatherapy, music, breathwork, and facilitator led session elements.

We may reasonably change the format, timing, facilitator, scent selection, music, operational setup, or content of a session when necessary for safety, quality, or operational reasons.

2. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 16 years old to attend Heat Lab unless Heat Lab explicitly states otherwise for a specific event and any legally required parental or guardian consent has been obtained.

We may ask for proof of age or identity.

3. Health and personal responsibility

Use of saunas, cold plunge pools, cold water facilities, bathing areas, and related activities involves exposure to extreme temperatures and carries inherent health risks.

By attending Heat Lab, you acknowledge and agree that:

You participate voluntarily and at your own risk

you understand that heat and cold exposure can cause dehydration, dizziness, fainting, overheating, cold shock, rapid breathing, changes in heart rate, and changes in blood pressure

you are personally responsible for deciding whether participation is suitable for you

you will leave the sauna, cold water, or session area immediately if you feel unwell

you will notify staff immediately if you or another guest needs assistance

You must not participate if you:

are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your judgment or physical response

feel unwell, dizzy, faint, dehydrated, or unable to safely tolerate heat or cold exposure

have had vomiting or diarrhea within the previous 48 hours

have open wounds, contagious skin conditions, athlete’s foot, or another condition that may create a hygiene or infection risk

have been advised by a medical professional not to use sauna or cold exposure facilities

If you are pregnant, or have a cardiovascular, circulatory, respiratory, neurological, or other relevant medical condition, you should consult a physician before participating.

Heat Lab staff and facilitators do not provide medical advice.

4. Recommended use protocol

Unless staff gives different instructions for a specific session, we recommend the following:

sauna exposure of approximately 10 to 12 minutes per round, depending on personal tolerance

a cool down period outside the sauna between rounds

showering before entering shared cold water facilities

shorter cold exposure for beginners

hydration before, during, and after participation

Guests are responsible for listening to their body at all times.

5. Hygiene rules

To protect guest safety, hygiene, and water quality, all guests must comply with the following rules:

rinse off sweat in the shower before re entering shared cold water after a sauna round

keep your head above water in cold plunge tubs unless Heat Lab explicitly states otherwise

do not shave, scrub, or groom yourself in shared areas

do not contaminate shared water, surfaces, or equipment

use a large towel in the sauna that fully covers every part of the bench or surface touched by your body, including your feet

do not wear shoes inside the sauna

do not bring outdoor clothing into the sauna area except where staff explicitly allows it

Any additional hygiene or safety instructions communicated on site, by signage, in booking confirmations, or by staff form part of these Terms.

6. Conduct and house rules

All guests must treat staff, facilitators, contractors, neighbors, and other guests with courtesy and respect.

The following conduct is not permitted:

harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, or aggressive behavior

violence or unsafe behavior

disruptive behavior, including excessive noise where it disturbs the session or other guests

misuse of equipment or facilities

damaging Heat Lab property or the property of others

bringing glass items into operational areas unless staff permits it

bringing food or drink into sauna or cold water zones unless staff explicitly permits it

Heat Lab may deny entry, interrupt participation, or remove any guest immediately and without refund if Heat Lab reasonably believes that the guest poses a risk to themselves, other guests, staff, property, or the atmosphere of the venue.

Serious or repeated violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

7. Alcohol, drugs, and intoxicating substances

Attendance under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance is strictly prohibited.

Heat Lab may refuse entry or remove any guest if Heat Lab reasonably suspects intoxication or impairment. In such a case, no refund, credit, or compensation will be provided.

8. Essential oils and session products

Some sessions may include scent, steam, aromatherapy, music, breathwork, or other facilitator led elements.

To protect air quality, hygiene, equipment, and the integrity of the session, guests may not bring or use personal essential oils, scrubs, honey, salt, fragrances, or similar products unless Heat Lab has explicitly approved them in advance.

Only products, methods, and materials provided, approved, or administered by Heat Lab may be used during guided sessions.

expired credits, punch cards, and gift cards do not need to be extended, replaced, or refunded unless required by law

promotional offers may not be combined unless Heat Lab explicitly states otherwise

misuse of offers, referral codes, discounts, promotions, or guest privileges may result in cancellation of the relevant benefit, suspension of access, or account action

11. Cancellation, rescheduling, and no shows

The cancellation and rescheduling rules shown during checkout or in the product description apply to the booking you purchase.

For standard Heat Lab sessions, the default policy is as follows:

if you cancel 24 hours or more before the start of your session, the value of your booking will be returned to your Heat Lab profile as a booking credit for future use

if you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of your session, or do not attend, the booking is forfeited

rescheduling is only possible if the booking platform allows it and if availability exists

For private events, group bookings, collaborations, or special bookings, separate cancellation terms may apply and will be stated in the relevant quote, invoice, or confirmation.

If Heat Lab cancels a session, Heat Lab may offer a rebooking, booking credit, or refund.

12. No statutory withdrawal right for dated leisure bookings

Where your booking relates to a leisure activity provided on a specific date or during a specific period, there is generally no statutory 14 day withdrawal right.

If Heat Lab sells an undated product or another service for which mandatory consumer withdrawal rights do apply, the applicable law will apply to that purchase.

13. Late arrivals

Doors may close at the scheduled session start time.

If you arrive late, Heat Lab may refuse entry or allow entry only at a later point in the session if that is operationally and safely possible. No refund, partial refund, or compensation is owed for missed time caused by late arrival.

14. Personal belongings

Guests are responsible for their own belongings at all times.

Heat Lab is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, including items left in changing areas, lockers, storage areas, or elsewhere on site, except where liability cannot legally be excluded and the loss is directly caused by Heat Lab’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

15. Damage caused by guests

Guests are liable for any loss, damage, repair costs, replacement costs, or additional cleaning costs resulting from their breach of these Terms, negligence, misuse of facilities, or intentional acts.

Heat Lab may recover such costs directly from the responsible guest.

use of Heat Lab facilities and participation in Heat Lab activities is at your own risk

Heat Lab is not liable for indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or reputational damage

Heat Lab is not liable for personal injury, illness, or other damage arising from the ordinary inherent risks of sauna use, cold exposure, bathing, movement between hot and cold environments, or failure to follow instructions, unless directly caused by Heat Lab’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence

Heat Lab is not liable for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including power failures, internet failures, severe weather, public authority action, illness, venue restrictions, supplier issues, technical malfunction, or force majeure

17. Force majeure and service changes

Heat Lab may suspend, postpone, relocate, or cancel services due to force majeure, safety concerns, weather, technical issues, staffing issues, public health concerns, venue restrictions, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Where appropriate, Heat Lab may offer a rebooking, booking credit, or refund.
